Join your VS colleagues for a 3.1-mile course along Central Park. Runners get a chance to experience vibrant and picturesque Central Park as the sun is coming up. All pace groups are welcome!

Venous Symposium Faculty Member Luis León, an inspiring force behind the symposium’s 5K Run.

Luis León, middle, a vascular surgeon at Tucson Medical Center, goes through an early-morning workout with Keith Schlottman, left, and fellow members of the Tucson Runners Project. León will compete in an upcoming 200-mile race to raise awareness of peripheral artery disease.

Wine Label Contest

The Venous Symposium wine bottles have become a popular staple of the VS reception. Attendees and exhibitors now have a chance to design the label. The VS Course Directors will choose the winning label. The winning label will be placed on all the bottles distributed at the VS reception. Submit your venous related design by February 14th for a chance to win.


  • Include dimensions of the label
  • Digital image of the artwork must be submitted to for approval by February 14th.

Art Gallery Contest

Take part in the inaugural Venous Symposium Art Gallery. VS invites all VS 2020 attendees and exhibitors to showcase their art skills. Submit your venous related artwork for a chance to win $500. The artwork will be displayed at the VS reception. Attendees will have a chance to vote for their favorite piece. The contest winner will be announced at the end of the reception.


  • Artwork can be a painting or a sculpture.
  • Digital image of the artwork must be submitted to for approval by February 28th.
